What are Super delegates and Pledged delegates?

Pledged delegates are the votes that the people make in each state. Super delegates are party officials and others who get one vote each regardless of what happens in each state. When you add together a candidates pledged and super delegates, whoever gets 2025 is who wins the nomination. Obama has a very big lead in pledged delegates and is closing the gap in super delegates. He is almost sure to win the nomination.
