When I was younger, going to bed sometimes was a frightening endeavor. I would be sound asleep, but suddenly I would wake up, unable to breather. To make matters worse, my body felt like it weighed 100 tons; I simply could not pick up my body. Obviously, after a struggle, I would sit up and gasp for air, unable to sleep for the rest of the night. I used to think it was from falling asleep while lying on my back, but now that I've read up on the subject, I'm beginning to suspect it was sleep paralysis. What do you think?
