Hi. how would i know if a lump is cancerous?

Started having a dull pain on botom part of left . and have just found a rather large lumpy area close to nipple. how would i know if it is serious. I may be mis informed because I am under the impression that if it can move its not cancerous. Anyone have advice. I am 27 had hysterectomy done.
