Are Christians and any other religous people really are touched in the head?

I said I'm an aethiest but they insist I must believe in God. Do they have proof that he exist? They it gives comfort to your thoughts if you believe in him. But to me it makes me look delusional. What do you guys think of God and his so-called worshipers?
