Should I expect my boyfriend to be more attentive?

Once you love someone that much and you are in a serious relationship, people usually love their other half more then they love themselves. Family is hard to fight against because they are blood and will always be there for you even if things happen to go wrong. But work should not be in front of you--you know he has to work but hopefully he doesn't let work take over his life. This priority list should be like this: God, Family, You, Himself, Work. That's just my opinion.
