What glue, adhesive or tape can I use to bond poly sheeting?

I need to permanently bond the standard poly sheeting flame retardant vapor barrier together. I know heat sealing is good, but I don't have the right tool. Or can anyone tell me what temperature 1 mil plastic can be bonded?
